I Heart My:

My New Desk

Happy Monday!

I had my eye on the Ava Glass Display desk for quite some time. So when the sale price dropped from $499 to $399 (originally $599),Β I finally pulled the trigger and bought this gorgeous desk from Pottery Barn! Because this piece required their “white glove service,” I kept putting off a firm delivery date while I debated about moving forward with the purchase. I finally had it delivered last week, and low and behold, the price had dropped again. So I called Pottery Barn customer service, requested a price adjustment, and even though the desk was actually purchased more than 30 days ago, they still gave me the $52 refund since it was JUST delivered!

{You can purchase this desk, or learn more about it, here.}

I’ve always loved Pottery Barn, but now I’m an even bigger fan. Most of their stuffΒ is not only beautiful and timeless, but is also great quality. Not to mention the customer service and delivery service is awesome!

I’m debating on what kind of chair I want to use with my desk, soΒ I’m currently using one of the chairs from my kitchen breakfast table. You know, the ones I recently reupholstered?

…and the Other Fabulous Furniture Finds!

Well, I went to my local Home Goods store last week and found these great chairs (see below). But I’m hesitant to buy since the Hubs and I are planning on moving within the next year. (Which, by the way, you should know that the location of my “home office” is temporary. I have an office in another part of my home, but it’s being renovated at the moment and it’s a hot mess in there.)

I also found these gorgeous mirrored night stands below! I want to use one as my jewelry armoire, but like I mentioned before, Hubs and I are moving, and I’m just not sure about purchasing new furniture right now. I may get to build my “dream closet” in the next house, and I’d hate to buy this and not use it, you know?

Well, that’s my desk and my Home Goods shopping ideas. What do you think? Should I go ahead and get any of these Home Goods goodies?

    Did you like the pottery barn desk? It seems like the rod in the middle gets in the way of leg resting.

      Hi Deb, I ended up getting a different desk when we moved, but I still use this PB desk as my vanity in my bedroom. You’re right though. If I want to cross my legs, the bar does kind of get in the way. But it’s nice if I want to put my feet up πŸ™‚ I found the area beneath the glass is kind of useless too – unless I display a magazine or something like that. Overall, the size is pretty nice. I’d only recommend it if you just use it as a writing desk and not a “work” desk.
